We cannot deny the fact that a prominent reason for going to the cinemas or staying glued to our TVs, laptops, or other devices to watch a movie is to be entertained.
Some other reasons may include the need to grasp some facts for research purposes and to enhance our knowledge base.
However, even though there may be varying reasons why some people may choose to watch faith-based movies, the ultimate goal of the making of such movies is to create awareness of a particular faith.
If you’re interested in learning more about your faith while getting entertained, here are four movies we would recommend that you watch.

1. MIRACLES FROM HEAVEN (2016)

Based on a true-life story, this movie focuses on a girl, Annabel who miraculously overcomes an incurable life-threatening digestive disorder.
After she was rescued from an accident that almost ended her life, she became healed from her sickness and shares a story of her visit to heaven and how Jesus healed her.
2. PRAISE THIS (2023)

Praise this tells a strong redemptive story celebrating faith.
Many characters professed their faith in Jesus, repent of their past, and seek to live in a way that pleases God.
The main character is a rebellious and arrogant young girl.
She disrespects her father and looks down on her Christian uncle, aunt, and cousin.
However, she undergoes a transformation when she’s forced to join a church choir and begins to be influenced by her newfound friends and their faith.
3. BREAKTHROUGH (2019)

Breakthrough is a 2019 faith-based drama a real-life accident involving a family.
The movie presents divine intervention and a mother’s love as what saved her son.
Although her son (John) was rescued, he is in a coma.
When his mother realized things were out of her control, she left everything to God and God came through for them.
4. BLUE MIRACLE (2021)

It is based on an orphanage run by Papa Omar in Mexico.
Papa Omar lost his father at a very young age and fought with street life.
In his bid to help other kids who suffered the same fate as him when he was young, he established the orphanage.
However, due to the shortage of donations and indebtedness, they feared losing their house.
A competition of catching the blue marlin fish came up and they managed to win, providing them with enough money to run the orphanage again.
